Description: The goal of Special Olympics Oregon is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. By offering a variety of Olympic-type sports, we provide our participants with the opportunity to develop their physical fitness while nurturing friendships and enjoying the thrill of competition.
As a not-for-profit charitable organization, we strive to help the intellectually disabled citizens of Oregon maximize their potential. We offer training and competition opportunities in 15 different Olympic-style sports, including:
Track and Field
Between our 4 State Games event and 14 regional competitions, we hold events in every region of Oregon, every month of the year, providing multiple opportunities for athletes to compete with their peers.
