I ordered a portable nebulizer and paid for 2 day shipping. I received a phone call from a service person who said that i needed a perscription for the nebulizer (which is not true). I explained that I had left a message for my doctor's office to fax one in but that I really needed the nebulizer sent out that day because I was going out of town. She kindly offered to call my doctor's office to take care of it. That was the last that I heard until the next afternoon when I received an email saying that my package had just been shipped - meaning that it would arrive after I had already left town. I called the company and told them that I would not be there to receive the package and now would have to go purchase one locally to take with me. I spoke with Sally and asked her to please send me a return label to ship the nebulizer back after I returned. After discussing this for a while and her refusing to do so, I asked why and her answer was "why should we incur expense on a product that we are not going to make any money on?" Well, quite simply because they did not get the product to me in the time period that I requested. I ended my phone call and called American Express and explained the situation to them. They promptly reversed the charges and said they would handle it. While I was away for that weekend, I received an email from someone that I didn't know, but the reference said "your nebulizer purchase". It was an email from another customer of Southeastern Medical Supply who had placed an order and paid for expedited shipping. They had received my nebulizer and they assumed that I had received their product and what would I like her to do with it - send it to me or back to the company.

When I returned home and opened the package, sure enough I had her product. I called Southeaster Medical and spoke with Cedrick, (who Sally said would call me to follow up and did not) and told him what was going on. He did not apologize, but just kept on asking me for information about the product that I had received. He seemed completely perplexed and more concerned with identifying what I had than in rectifying a situation or even apologizing for the inconvenience. I have since received a return label (which took over a week) and returned their product but will NEVER order from them again. Terrible customer service, follow up and manners. Not worth it to save a few dollars - the time and aggravation were not worth it.

Terrible Customer Service

Was not customer friendly. Ordered online. Next day was called and told could only ship to credit card address They canceled my order since I am a traveler and I am never at home. They suggested I make arrangements for someone to pick up the order at my home address and ship it to where I was located to complete the order. (nuts) Weeks later called to inquire about refund. Male receptionist told me 3-4 weeks to complete a refund. He proceeded to tell me all reasons for his company not completing the order or the refund. I wonder if they would have the same response if it was their online purchae not refunded for 3-4 weeks? Bad business people.

We are sorry the customer was disappointed that we could not ship her device to an unverified hotel address. In this day and age of fraud and identity theft, we do our best to protect our customers by only shipping to verified addresses where someone can sgin for the package. The reason it took so long for the refund is that the customer's file was sent to the credit card fraud department for review and once it was cleared, we provided a prompt refund.
