This place saved my whole family's life! I am forever thankful! The effects of the treatment my partner received during his treatment display everyday. I am extremely appreciative of how the staff accommodated family sessions on such short notice!

The South Suburban Council is a miraculous treatment center with holistic staff available at the door. From entry into treatment, all the way to the end, you will have staff will real life experience that are compassionately there to help you and treat you with the upmost respect. The South Suburban Council has saved many lives. The South Suburban Council will accept you into treatment regardless of your ability to pay, and whether if you have insurance nor not!

The people at FWork Force treat you like you are below them. Ms. Anita is the devil herself. To them, you are a second class citizen. And if you want your identity stolen, it vcan be easily done there, they put old files in a sloppy pile in an old bathtub in the bathroom. If you are behind on your hours, they send you to the Thornwood apartments which is infested with roaches (yet the apartment complex denies it). While I was there the manager who is well over 300 pounds told me I was fat. There is no safe place to keep your belongings......so one of the workers got away with 70 of my klonopins (similar to xanax) and $40. Oh. And to them, you are below garbage.

Where do I start. Sex in the closets. Heroine, pills, and Xanex readily available. No smoking. Counselors with no respect, compassion, nor professionalism. Counselors provoke and disrespect clients daily. Especially Valerie, ( Supervisor) and Darlene. They both are In desperate need of training courses. 6 large group meetings, 7 days a week. Same repetitive agendas or topics pulled from internet. No exercise or outdoor activities. No 1 on 1 sessions. Most of the time I met with other counselor and not my own. No structure to program. Visitors drive over an hr to sit for hour lecture then hr visit. Pretty frustrating. What I learned??? By any means necessary, NEVER COME HERE FOR TREATMENT!!!

Timothy Grant in central intake is a perv that hit on me. He is a black darkskinned man in central intake. He works there but was trying to get my phone number to hook up for sex. I don't think its right for an employee to do that. He seems to like trying to take advantage of the women client's. Ladies be prepared for Timothy to try and get you to come to his house after your appointment. The freak actually gave me his address 3414 w. 167th st markham and his phone number 3122561177. Try it its his real info. It's a shame to have pervs working with people. I told a supervisor but I believe he's still there. Instead he should be fired. I don't recommend this place for women trying to recover because apparently employees like Timothy are waiting to take advantage.

I did 28 days of inpatient rehab here. They accepted me with no money down and $280 dollars to be paid later. They are basically state funded which allows them to be so cheap. As you might imagine, this also results in a pretty rough crowd. A large amount of the dudes were straight from prison and still doing a bunch of prison stuff like running cigarette stores, stashing food and meds, fighting, etc. The counselors are, for the most part, indifferent to your presence. There are no individual counseling sessions, only group meetings dominated by the counselors' pet clients or whiny dudes who love to talk. There is no gym (in fact working out is forbidden) or any other recreation. Your day is dominated by large group meetings where the disinterested counselors show movies or play music, small groups and AA/NA meetings with outside guys who think they are just so awesome. The pros: they let you see a psychiatrist for free, I met a few guys who were alright, and it gave me motivation to stop using so I could stay outta places like this.
