We have gone here many times over the years and been treated well with good care. Does it take longer, yes. But it is a walk in clinic.

dont waste your time here

Walked in very ill, 2 wks go by after blood tests and stool samples, called almost daily desperate to find out what was wrong, they told me they would call if something was wrong. almost 3wks i get a call from the Central District Health Dept nurse telling me i had Salmonilla, she was suprised South Hill General Medical Clinic did not call me yet, its been 4 months and i still have had no phone call guess they did feel that my condition was vry bad

Really Upset with This Clinic

I agree with everything that everyone is saying....I went here to get an evaluataion. The doctor said I had a case to get medical. I really trusted this doctor and what he said to me. I will NOT EVER request ANYONE to come to this clinic. We call them and they are not professional and they are not very crappy to the patients.

Zero Stars

I agree with what Jeff wrote, that they are dishonest regarding prescription refills. I had been to this clinic a couple of times before for thyroid blood work and thyroid med refills, and this past time the doctor decided to give me only 90 days refill, even though I had no medical complaints or other issues. I am uninsured and the doctor refused to refill my scrip again without running a battery of unrelated tests that I was obligated to pay for out of my pocket. They are looking for ways to make a few more bucks off people. I don't know about their treatment protocol, but any time I have been in there, no doctor ever palpated my thyroid, just did blood work and then I had to come back again to get the prescription, and pay again, of course. I'm done with them. I'm going to find a place that cares about the individual and where I can get proper care for my thyroid condition without having to jump through their money-making hoops.

Poor service, dishonest policy

I went in get my 1 year prescription filled (they have done this in the past), explained what I needed, went through all the motions. Explained because I'm hourly I cant take the time off of work to get into my normal doctor,and need this prescription filled.Instead they come back with with a 90d prescription and tell me I have to go see my regular doctor doctor anyways. WTF?So now I get to pay for 2 doctor visits, instead of one.They told me they dont dothose sort of prescriptions (note: they have in the past), then why the heck not tell me up front, and I would have left.As I said above, now I have to pay for another office call. Poor service, dishonest.

The Uncaring Doctor

My parents have been with this medical clinic for more than 15 years. They have a chinese Doctor. Currently I went to this doctor to ask for a prescription for a walk-in shower. My mother had slipped getting our of the tub and was hospitalized for 3 daysdue to this incident. She is also diagnosed with feet neuropathy which the doctor should be aware of. The doctor refused to give the prescription accusing us of taking advanage of the system and that he has standards which he was not able to give me but insisted that my mother is strong and does not need a walk-in shower. The theraphist came to the house and gave an evaluation already and confirmed her need of a shower. Instead of concern for my mother, the doctor accused us of taking advantage of the system. My parents(90 & 92) have private insurance and he wants to see them every 3 months, is that taking advantage or what?.

Bad Service on Saturday Doctor

I waited almost a hour and half to see a Doctor for 5 minutes total. He took my history in less than 5 minutes and agreed that I had a problem with my mouth and medical injury that has had me on Social Security for the last 11 years. Which I have gone to there clinic for the last 2 years on and they have my history. Plus they have had me on pain medicine for my injury, due to not being able to walk. Along with other problems.He said to me," We don't do pain medication we aren't that kind of clinic." I told him they had me on the medicine thru there clinic before and he goes really... If he looked at his records he would of found this out to be true. He didn't even offer to put me on medicine too help the problem with my mouth being infected, so I would maybe be able to tolerate the pain while I wait to see a dentist. He could of put me on pain medicine or antibodies for the infection. They aren't going to do anything at dentist office, until the infection is gone. Why go to 2 doctor
