SDRA serves clients throughout the country with 36 employees including Architects licensed in 17 states. Our primary office location is in Portland, Oregon. This office serves all of the west coast including Alaska and Hawaii.
Design Philosophy
We see design as a primary element to quality human experience. In working with our clients, we seek architectural solutions which function elegantly and efficiently -and provide value. We use an evidence-based design approach that emphasizes integration of functionality, technology, natural environment and human interaction as principal influences for thoughtful, well crafted design solutions.
Our People
Led by four principals, SDRA balances a unique combination of technical experience with creative enthusiasm on our design teams. Our principals lead every project from inception through completion. Our talented and dedicated staff is passionately committed to collaborative and responsive customer service.
Sustainability
SDRA designs environments to improve learning and livability with an absolute commitment to sustainability. SDRA has designed over 20 LEED and LEED equivalent projects, including our most recent LEED Platinum certified Shiley Hall (Engineering) and the LEED Gold certified Residence Hall at the University of Portland. We utilize energy modeling to achieve practical, high performance solutions which improve operational efficiency and quality of interior environments.
