Took my vehicle in for routine service. Car was running beautifully. Check engine light came on immediately after leaving shop. Problems ballooned from there. $1500 later car was still not drivable and they couldn't find the problem. Took it to an independent mechanic who fixed the problem quickly but not cheaply. Since then I have heard numerous horror stories about there service department. I like Ford motor company but they should not tolerate this level of service in there name.

Poor Service Great If You Like Grease in Your Vehicle!

We took our 2009 vehicle in to get a oil change. Two days later after a 200 mile drive, we noticed a leak under our vehicle. We took it back to Smith's. It turned out to be both brake lines and our master cylinder went out. They never noticed it during the oil change. Fortunately, the car was still under warranty, however, It took over a week to fix. We never saw the defective parts and when we asked to see them, we were told by the parts guy that Ford was paying for it so why did it matter. The engine compartment was greasy and filthy with no atttempt to clean the residues off. The inside of our vehicle smelled strongly of gasoline and had greasy finger prints all over it. Really dissappointed and disgusted with the whole experience. We are driving the extra miles to get to Provo next time instead of stopping there.
