My trip to this salon, complet...

My trip to this salon, completely, ruined my day. I was humiliated by the owner, Tony. He is a total bully, with no regard for his customers, whatsoever. He made thoughtless jokes and hurtful commentary about me, and others, to our faces, and then would proceed to laugh. I was simply stunned, and had never experienced this kind of behavior, ever, anywhere. Isn't a salon/spa a place where one expects to leave feeling better? Because of Tony, I not only left with a bad mani, but a broken heart, as well. :( If I could, I would give this place ZERO stars.

Tony, the owner, is the rudest individual, I took a friend from Illinois in there, and she said, How does this guy stay in business?"I am truly surprised Tony has any customers at all.

Tony's wife Nina is pleasant so I made an appointment with her. I went to the shop a week ago for a back fill. Nina did a decent job on my nails, but when it was time to pay, she said that will be , "Forty dollars." This would be $30.00 at any other shop. Then Tony spoke up and said, "No, no, it's $45.00."

I will never return. There are too many nail shops in Tucson to put up with rudeness and the "price of the day."

I was given a gift certificate...

I was given a gift certificate (pedicure) purchased by my 13 year old daughter for Mother's Day last year. I tried to redeem it today and found out that there was a 6 month expiration date from date of purchase. When I walked into the salon, there were no customers and I asked if I could usse this gifrt certificate because I wasn't aware of the short expiration period. The girl in charge would not budge on this remearking that if I had been one week or one month late she would accept it but not now at 11 months later??? I then asked to speak with the owner or manger so she gave me a phone mumber to call Tony but there was no answer. I asked when the owner would be there but she did not know. After leaving very disappointed, I was sitting in my car outside and saw a gentelmean walk up to the salon so I stopped him and asked if he was Tony. He was Tony and said he was the manager but also would not accept the gift certificate because it had expired. I have purchased and received many gift certificates in the past that are usually good for one year from date of purchase or longer. Most businesses want to have neew customers and will honor these certificates within reason. I truly thouhgt my request to usse this gift certificate was not unresonable. As a small businees owner myself, I am surprised at the lack of business sense exhibited by this salon. I have friends that frequent this salon which I shared with Tony but he didn't seem to care about this atl either.
