Silver Salmon Grille Owners Jeff & Laurie Martin secured local ownership of the restaurant in January 2001. After painstakingly restoring the local landmark to it's full glory, the couple added some personal touches to their labor of love with a strong focus on supporting the community and celebrating our rich history. The beautiful fish murals and metal sculptures were done by local artists Peter Peterson and Vern Wilson respectively. The tastefull embelishments of the restaurant pay homage to John E. Wicks the buildings designer and the father of our Downtown Historic District.

The amazing 120 year old Scottish Cherry wood bar in the lounge, was shipped around Cape Horn in the 1880's. First used in Anna Bays Social Club, a house of ill repute here in Astoria in the latter part of the 19th century, it was abandoned in the 1920's at the Port of Astoria. This precious piece of our living history was found again in 1940, refurbished over a three year period and finally installed in the early 1950's in its present location.

Here are just a few of our many epicurean delights!

**Silver Salmon Supreme**
Fresh salmon filled with a Dungeness crab, bay shrimp and smoked gouda stuffing. Oven poached in white wine and lemon, finished with chives and beurre rouge sauce.
Wine Suggestion: Trimbach Pinot Gris or Grgich Chardonnay

**Toasted Pecan Salmon**
Salmon fillet encrusted with toasted pecans and buttergrilled. Finished with scallions, sauteed gulf shrimp and brie champagne cream.
Wine Suggestion: Drouhin Pouilly Fuisse or King Estate Pinot Gris

**Filet Mignon**
The queen of steaks. Choice Mid-Western beef, thick cut and broiled to your liking, served with bearnaise sauce.
Wine Suggestion: Silver Salmon Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon or Stags Leap Petite Syrah

**Chicken Cordon Astoria**
Breast of chicken stuffed with smoked gouda cheese, scallions, mushrooms and honey glazed ham. Lightly breaded and golden fried, garnished with bay shrimp and a jalapeno cilantro sauce.
Wine Suggestion: Frogs Leap Sauvignon Blanc

**Greek Breast of Chicken**
Breast of chicken lightly broiled then baked with olives, roasted garlic, dcallions, artichokes, sun-dried tomatoes and a cucumber glaze.
Wine Suggestion: Laetitia Pinot Blanc.

**Original Cobb Salad**
Oven roasted turkey, tomatoes, bacon, avocado, celery, boiled egg, crumbled blue cheese and finaly chopped greens. Tossed with original cobb dressing.

**Willapa Bay Oyster Stew**
Fresh Willapa Bay oysters sauteed with shallots, mushrooms, onions, and finished in a sherry garlic cream. Served with garlic toast.

**Halibut Fish & Chips**
Northwest Halibut dipped in our own beer batter and deep fried to a golden brown. Served with coleslaw, tartar sauce and steak fries.

**Parmesan & Herb Encrusted Salmon**
Salmon fillet encrusted with fresh herbs and parmesan cheese, butter grilled. Served with jalapeno cilantro sauce and fruited rice.

**San Francisco Melt**
Sourdough bread dipped in egg and coated with parmesan cheese and grilled. Filled with roasted turkey, bacon, tomato, avocado, grilled onions and swiss cheese. Served with steak fries.
