The pants to my suit were laundered rather than dry cleaned. They were ruined. Within 2 days, the manager settled with me for a fair amount. I appreciate how they accepted responsibilty and made things right.

I was a first time customer, and selected this cleaners because they are "perc free" and they've been around a long time. I took my bedcover and 2 shams to them to be dry cleaned, and THEY LOST ONE OF THE SHAMS! This bedding set, which was very expensive by my standards, is no longer carried by the store where I bought it. It is also a very distinctive color.



It is much too long of a saga to relate blow-by-blow. The major points are:

--They lost the sham, and it took almost a month for them to admit it.

--The staff at the store showed little interest in my concerns as I called repeatedly to learn the status of my order.

--When the rest of the set minus the sham came back for me to pick up, it was clear that it had never been cleaned, even though it was in a plastic bag.

--The owner, Patricia Shaffer, would not honor my claim for the replacement value of the set, suggesting I could find a new set of shams that would "go" with the coverlet. She finally paid me about 1/4 of the replacement cost of the set.

I will NEVER take another item to Shaffer Dry Cleaners!"
