Shadow Mountain MHP

by Kat , 04/22/2014

My name is Kat. I have lived at Shadow Mountain MHP for about 6 years. I have found this to be a wonderful place to live, with access to wonderful hiking trails! The owners in my opinion are wonderful people. If you treat them decently they will do the same. I am very happy living here and would highly recommend this mobile home park!

Shadow Mountain Trailer Park

by Joanne Armstrong , 06/19/2013

Shadow Mountain Trailer Park is not a pleasant place to live. There are several reasons why it should only be considered as a last resort. The owner is very erratic and often arbitrary in his dealings with his tenants. On one day a tenant is his friend, and on the next, he is doing his best to browbeat the tenant into doing whatever it is he wants done. He frequently ignores his own rental contract. He has a strong bias against the LGBT community and is especially antagonistic toward women. The trailers at the park are old and worn out. They are usually given some cosmetic attention between tenants, but structural problems exist in many of the units. Repairs, including plumbing and electrical, are usually made by unlicensed workers. The biggest problem with Shadow Mountain Trailer Park, however, is that it is sited on an old mill tailings dump which is known to the EPA. Anyone with pets and/or children, and older people with respiratory or other illnesses should consider very carefully whether to move into the park.
