Settle with pain? No..but you'll have to with him...
by Amy Delaney , 03/14/2015
Dr Settle is another doctor that wants to act like a hero when in reality he just gets to play the power trip with his credentials.....he has not one clue about dealing with pain. He is so funny when he suggests sleep and exercise to cure a pain issues. If I could move and be able to stay up long enough to exercise chances are that I wouldn't even know the guy because I wouldn't need anything. And sleep, well I just have to pretend he's talking to me and then I'll have no problem falling asleep....even if my entire body feels like I'm going thru a wood chipper. The guy may be nice but he's also paranoid dr that can't grasp simple things such as insurance issues and math. He is not someone I'd waste time with. I think he should either resort to another field of practice because he is smart. But if you want to be a pain doctor...go be a damn pain doctor and grow a pair....if your patient is doing everything you've asked and there's no change...then figure it out. He's very good at reading what your PCP notes and just follows that.....I don't think he ever had any intention of helping....but as long as he knows he wasted my time...then I'm sure that's all he cares.....retire and go play golf
He is the epitome of what a doctor should be

I have daily unremitting, horrendous migraines that have disabled me and destroyed my life. I have run the gamut of therapies, including two surgeries, to no avail, and am left at the mercy of medical relief. Dr. Settle is so truly compassionate, such a truly caring, empathetic listener, that I feel better just being in his presence. He keeps me informed of what the options are, and helps me decide what the best option may be for me at this point I time. If it doesn't work out, we make adjustments. He is truly the epitome of the physician/patient partnership at work. I trust him with my life and well being, and cannot speak more highly of him or his wonderful, caring staff, Marie and Kim.
great doctor/ bad choices

Im sure Dr. Settle is a wonderul doctor, my mother has been seeing him for years. I wish that Dr. Settle would actually pay more attention to patients that have addiction issues and not just pain issues! My mother is 52 had neck surgery years ago, and has been on serious pain meds every day since. I know what its like to be in severe pain Ive had to have 2 back surgeries and am not done yet, and 3 weeks after my second was off oycodone, not out of ain by any means but off narcotics. My doctors explained that after 6 months of continued use of oxycodone it no longer really works on pain but is then just needed for the addiction aspet of it, and i know this is very true!! My mother ha overdosed 4 times off the pain patches, oxycodone, and somas that Dr. Settle has continued to prescribe to her and its truly sad!! This medication has completely ruined my mother, she has become a habitual liar, rude, mean, ungrateful for everything in life!! Its truly sad!! Now she is not going to walk in and tell Dr. Settle shes addicted and needs help, I pray that HE would open up his eyes and StOP prescribing these medications for such a lengthy period! Ive dealt with amazing surgeons and pain specialists and we know oxycodone stops working as its supposed to a few months after continued use!! PLEASE DR.SETTLE PLEASE, STOP RUING LIVES!! our whole family is affected by this, please stop falling for her lies, I know your a good doctor, please make people stop when they should! these meds are no joke!! weve had to call 911 because of my mom overdosing, that shouldve had you realize shes had ENOUGH! Plus when you finaly stop the narcotics your pain gets better, its a proven fact. Im not bad mouthing Dr.Setle I know my moms a good manipulater, but he has to be the amazing doctor and see through peoples bs.
Settle my pain please!

Dr. Settle is a kind and patient man who is easy to work with. He has a strong faith in his work and his beliefs and is willing to spend time with you and listen to you. As for me I am still in pain but he has not given up on me. Thank you Doctor Settle.
