I had a hip replacement Oct. 2007 at Scottsdale-Osborn. I had great care and my doctor was one of the best. All the nurses and those who were assigned to me were wonderful. I can't understand the negative reviews I have read. I may have need of surgery on my neck and now I'm wondering what all the negative stuff is about.I want to be in a good hospital and I've heard Scottsdale-Osborn is one of the best.Guess I will need to talk with the neurosurgeon I am hoping to see. He has been recommended highly by my orthopedic doctor/surgeon.

1 Bad experience by jan - 07/28/2010

I suffered a concussion and spent the night in ICU. Staff there were very helpful. The next day I was transferred to the neuro unit. I was ignored totally. The aide, when I asked to take a shower (had been instructed not to shower without help) replied "Oh, I'm tired." So I showered by myself. When I was discharged, I sat for hours waiting to be told I could leave. While waiting, I vomited in the sink. No one even came to check on me or to rinse the sink. Hopefully I will not need this hospital again.

5 Best healthcare on this earth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 by Seen it all! - 04/21/2010

My wife is alive and well today due solely to the staff and care she recieved from this fine establishment.I can't imagine what these detractors hope to accomplish. In my time in this facility, I recieved nothing but world class care. On second thought, after watching how some people under stress handle life's situations, and how they treat the very people that are doing their absolute best to help not only the patient, but family and freinds that think they know more about patient care than the professionals, I nominate the staff for sainthood!

5 I don't know what the previous people are talking about! by kb - 03/23/2010

My mother and Step father were in a serious motorcycle accident and my mother was in ICU for 20 days! My step father was airlifted to Mericopa Co. Hospital (that place is NASTY!!!) then transfered to Osbourne for his rehabilitaion. All I can say is this is the best place in the Southwest! The staff is so thoughtful and considerate and the care is world clas and up to date (this is coming from someone who will only go to University of Michigan doctors) I am suprised that anyone would give this place such poor reviews. As they treated me (family from MI) with respect and kindness.

1 Dying by Angry - 12/02/2009

Absolutely terrible. Rude and impersonal staff. Rude and impersonal caregivers. They sent my husband home and he colapsed in our driveway he was so sick. He had to be air-vaced back. Than was summarily tested and resleased again without resolution od his madical condition nor diagnosis. Unconcionable!

I live in another state and my elderly parents have been in this hospital several times for everything from knee replacement surgery to life-threatening illnesses.I am also a physician locally. I know good care and I know poor care. This is poor care! Never once did they take care of my parents on even one out of may occasions. I had to fly in (from Washington State) and provide care myself. Everything from bathing, feeding, changing bedclothes,to even providing water. If I left from caregiving for a break, it was pitiful to find no one would even help one of my parents to the restroom and they were crying for help while I was temporarily away. They were not receptive to calls for nursing care, nor any kind of care at all when called. My Mother had to get herself to the restroom after knee replacements both times she went there for surgery and the lack of care never relented for the whole visit. My Father collapsed due to age and breathing difficulties. Never at anytime could the s

1 Scottsdale Hospital by Carol - 10/02/2009

This was the worst hospital I have ever been to, and believe me I have been to them all in the last 18 months! There was basically no care unless you did it yourself, the nurses were lazy and gossipy. With the exception of one male nurse on the PM shift. They would stand in the hall and talk but would not answer the call lights. I was there for 3 weeks after a serious car accident and had a shower one time!! My doctors were mad at me because I didn't get up for walks and I let them know that the nurses would NOT help me out of bed! The worst!!!

1 They Could Have Killed Me by Ginny1978 - 02/09/2009

Terrible wait time misdiagnosed condition that was quite serious to where I had to be hospitalized for three weeks at Banner Health. These people could have killed me.ER Staff rude and wrong. This place should be shut down.
