This is the most inconsiderate company I have EVER heard of. My friend has been without heat or air for almost a month! Her unit was installed with a warranty, they have been "ordering" a replacement part. Someone could have driven and gotten it by now! They know her husband has COPD that is exacerbated by the heat, can't even open windows because the pollen and dust will cause a flare up. Not once have they made an attempt to expedite the repair, show concern or offer any comfort ( hotel or even a darn window unit) Now that the part is FINALLY here, they inform her there is another problem they overlooked and have to order ANOTHER part! You would think, with all this, she would at least receive a call from the manager with apologies or an attempt to accomodate them for the next MONTH it will likely take to get the part for this warrantied repair! They won't hardly return her calls. ONe time she was even lied to, I'm sure, as the "receptionist" said that she was answering calls from her cell phone and not in the office so she could not speak to the manager or owner...funny how she was instantly able to get him on the phone when my friend said she would hold and refused to hang up! I have advised her to use another company but this is a warranty job that should be paid for..I guess the reason for the delay? I have also advised her to talk to an attorney. It is likely her husband will be in the hosital on oxygen before they get it repaired. It is past a "business" issue...it's a human isse and they have no HUMANITY!! While he struggles to breath, they are comfortable in their homes..so sad really.

I had a heating unit go out during the coldest spell of the winter...called scotts and they sent someone out right away. They needed to order the parts, but they arrived quickly and the problem was fixed. I highly recommend Scotts!

They thought the unit needed freon so they charged it again. Upon the 3rd trip they thought about checking to see if there was a leak. The NEW unit was over a year old and the warranty did not cover leaks of freon so they sent me a bill for $39 on 3-16-09 and another bill for $812 on 4-22-09. The NEW unit was installed at our new house and all of the installation was by Scott's. If you have to have your unit worked on and want reliable work do NOT call Scott's. It would seem that they do just enough to get you happy for the first year and then maximize the charges for work that is not covered under warranty by the mfg (Trane).
