I phoned one of the Partners at Sands Auto Sales to ask about a car that was advertised for sale. I was told the car was in good shape, had a new clutch, had no rust and would be worth 90 minute drive to see it. When I arrived I immediately noticed severe rust on the roof and wheel well and the hood was dented. During the test drive the engine warmed up to normal however, the heater did not work, the check engine light was on, there was a loud clunking sound coming from bad rear struts and there was a noticeable knocking in the engine. The power steering pump was leaking and so was the head gasket. I was told the tires had 60% tread left. (Not true. The tires had about 15% left). The interior was a mess, and the windows were filthy. I told them they totally misrepresented the car. They said they didnât notice the rust or any of the issues I found during the test drive. REALLY?? You had it in your shop to replace the clutch and you didnât notice any of these thingsâ¦Miss representing everything about the car is bad enough but them outright lying to me at the dealership is inexcusable. Never will I do business with Sands Auto Sales, Cambridge, MN. Iâve told a lot of people about my experience.
Don't buy from these guys...

They advertise newer cars at great prices, but are actually salvaged high mile junk. They don't return calls, answer emails, etc. Stay far away. It's a junk dealer.

Called on the phone to ask a question and the guy on the other end was extremely rude!!! Hung up on me and I was still asking my question. St. Francis at its finest!
