Lee Mental Health has been offering Southwest Florida a comprehensive range of specialized programs focusing on individual and family needs for over 40 years. The following services are accredited by CARF, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities: case management, crisis intervention, crisis stabilization, intensive family-based services, mental health outpatient treatment, prevention/diversion, residential treatment, supported living, foster family services and employment services.
Our access center provides a place for one-stop mental health assessments for first-time, non emergency clients, along with walk-in assessment services, and outpatient counseling is available in a variety of settings. Psychiatric evaluation and medication management services are provided by board certified/eligible psychiatrists. Our outpatient therapy services are for individuals who have a diagnosis of a mental health, substance abuse or co-occuring disorders and are having difficulties with behavioral problems, family issues or other emotional problems.
Lee Mental Health's community based programs involve case managemen and in-home therapeutic services for children and adults. As well as, functional family therapy, supported employment for adults, and diversion services for those involved in the criminal justice system. Our residential treatment is short-term for individuals diagnosed with mood disorders or schizophrenia. DATE, drug abuse treatment & education, is a 28 day residential treatment program for substance abuse dependence and co-occuring disorders. We provide a holistic mind and body and hope-focused approach.
Our crisis stabilization units are for both children and adults. We offer secure, inpatient psychiatric stabilization for indivduals who need the highest level of care and are at risk of harming themselves or others. Our adult unit is a 30 bed unit with the average stay of 3 days. Our children's unit is for the assessment of kids 4 to 17 yeard old and is a 12 bed unit with the average stay of 3 days.
We provide emergency services which include 24 hour assessments of adults and children for emergency psychiatric symptoms. Our Baker Act and juvenile Marchman Act receiving facility is available for involuntary assessment. We also provide referrals for appropriate inpatient and outpatient treatment programs.
