OK--got your gear? Then get ready to have some fun. Now you've got to figure out just how far you wanna go down this river. There's a map to help you out. So pack up a lunch, some munchies. Take plenty of water too! Enjoy Arizona's one and only floating picnic! Make sure you take an extra bag to put your trash in, so we can all enjoy a clean river!

Children MUST be eight (8) or more years older and 4 feet tall for tubing.

Life vests are recommended for children and all non swimmers.

TENNIS SHOES or other footware are needed to protect against cuts, scrapes and bruises while walking to and from your entry/exit points. Shoes also protect your feet from the rocky bottom

PLAY IT SAFE! Alcohol, drugs and the Salt River do not MIX!

TYING OF TUBES together is NOT recommended.

GLASS CONTAINERS are NOT allowed at Salt River Tubing or the Lower Salt River Recreation area by law and will be confiscated. Ice chests/coolers will be checked for glass containers.

SUNBLOCK LOTION should be applied both BEFORE and DURING your floating trips

A CAP, HAT or VISOR will help shield your face and head from the rays of the sun.

STYROFOAM COOLERS are NOT recommended while floating on the river.

PARK ONLY in designated areas.

Always lock your car.

DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES in your vehicle. Always lock your car.

DRIVE ONLY on paved highways or on posted Forest Service roads.

DRINK AT LEAST 1-2 BOTTLES OF WATER per hour while floating to help prevent dehydration.

DO NOT LITTER! Dispose all trash in litter bags. Dump all trash in designated receptacles. Help keep our river, deserts and forest beautiful. Help keep Salt River, the desert, and Tonto National Forest beautiful.
