1 Be Warned - Don't Use These Folks by CharlieArthur - 01/10/2012

Roto Rooter Plumbing Service of Bellingham is one of the worst businesses with which I've had to deal. I called them to clear a sewer clog and they ended up running their snake at least 50 feet beyond my house into the sewer main in the street. Then they could not retrieve their snake because it backlashed onto their machine and onto the hand of their worker. Fortunately I was there and could help the idiot extricate himself. Then they cut the cable at their machine and told me I would have to pay for the cable ($300) unless I paid them to dig up the street and retrieve it. I paid them ($350.00!) for their time up to that point and told them to leave.These folks are not only incompetent, but dishonest and extremely rude.

1 Paid a couple of hundred for nothing!! by VERY DISPLEASED! - 12/24/2009

Granted it was Sunday and they said they charge $40 to come out then, which was fine. Basement kept flooding from some kind of back up in the sewer line. The guy comes over and just guesses what the problem is and THINKS he unclogged the drain. Says he'll send a guy with a camera out to make sure it was clear. The guy comes out 2 days later, (which before then, I do a load of laundry and it backs up again!) doesn't even have to take the camera out and knows what the problem is. Are you freaking kidding me?! Umm, how about we figure out what the problem is BEFORE charging people for what you THINK it is?! GET REAL!! Anyway, the camera guy goes on to tell me that they're going to charge me $165/hr to clear out my sewer line. Yeah, NEVER, EVER will I use them again!!! There was a couple of hundred down the damn drain! If you have money to throw away like that, I suggest you use Roto Rooter. They do a great job of taking your money for nothing getting fixed.

1 Not 24/7 Not Helpful by Unhappy Customer - 12/06/2009

We called for plumbing service because one of our 2 toilets was backing up and flooding one of the bathrooms. Plumber didn't call us back for 4 hours, and did not come to the house. Asked us to dump a 5 gallon bucket of water down the toilet to see if that would fix the problem and then told us that the problem was a cheap toilet. Over the phone, never having looked at the probem. Said they would be out by 10 am the next day and never showed up.So the next day we called a different plumbing company- they sent out 2 men. Remove the toilet, checked it, replaced it said- it was not a cheap toilet and not the problem. Then they snaked the drains using a camera and capped the sewer.Will NEVER use ROTO-ROOTER again, first to be insulted by someone over the phone and then to have them not show up is bad marketing and bad business

We had Roto Rooter out to our house because we had a back up that was flooding our tub & toilet. They came in & tried to snake the toilet & got mud all over my bathroom, took the toilet off & didn't replace the seal & then told me that the job was finished and left. I signed the invoice because I assumed they knew what they were doing & wouldn't leave the job unfinished. When my 6 year old went to use the toilet, the whole bathroom flooded, mostly from the base of the toilet where they didn't replace the seal! We called them (at 3:30pm) to come back out & where told that they were on there way, but never heard from them until the noon the next day. I have 2 small children & only one bathroom & we were unable to use it! When we got our return call we were told that we wouldn't be charged & they apologized because they had gone out to celebrate a co-workers birthday. A month later we got charged $277 from them! Said we shouldn't have signed the invoice and it should be a lesson learned!!

Hello,I called and Scott was here within 15 minutes. He diagnosed the problem and an repaired it within the hour. He explained everything was courteous and polite. 1 travel charge and no service by Dupe me Twice - 09/18/2009

Came out to my place, got lost, showed up late, said the plumbing job was not their specialty, and then gave me a bill of $90 for travel charges.We live in 83714 area code "TRAVEL CHARGES?" I paid them. What else am I supposed to do when they're handing me a slip invoice in my front yard??

1 Worst Service Ever! by 515Reviewer - 09/08/2009

This is the most unprofessional business I have ever dealt with! They didn't fix my drain problem and refused to return my phone calls that were questioning their lack of service. When I did finally get in contact with one of their representatives they hung up on me! Save yourself some money and hire a real plumber the first time. Otherwise you'll have to have one come out after this amateur company fails to perform!

I had them out on Friday for a toilet that wouldn't flush. The technician basically told me I had a cheap toilet (even though I have an identical one in another bathroom that works fine).By Tues. it was back to not flushing at all (4 days later) and they won't come back w/o another service charge because their work is not guaranteed is what the lady on the phone told me.
