Description
I am a licensed and nationally recognized psychiatrist dedicated to helping people resolve issues and learn coping skills. I provide psychotherapy and innovative progressive medication for many conditions, including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders and others. I strive to empower my patients and establish a safe and comfortable treatment atmosphere.Choosing a Psychiatrist
When life gets difficult and you need someone to speak with, it's important to choose a licensed professional with the experience and skills to help you. The office should be a safe, private and comfortable environment where you can relate and share your troubles.
Patients these days have a more active interest in their own health care and I'm glad. You should want to know more about your doctor, your treatment, and your options. I've put together this information to answer questions you may have about me. I encourage you to ask all the questions you want when we're together. I treat you with confidence and compassion. My goal is not only to treat mental health problems, but prevent them, too.
I work with individuals, couples, and people of all ages. I do not discriminate and pride myself on my ability to work with diverse groups of people. I work with my patients in an empathetic and non-judgmental manner, and am dedicated to helping you work through the difficulties in your life.
I know that some people with mental illness are often ashamed and embarrassed about the fact that they are not capable of working due to their mental conditions. I work with those patients to overcome these feelings by helping them develop a strong sense of self-worth and self-esteem and to recognize their own value. I am passionate about advocating for people with mental and psychiatric disabilities.
Benefits of Treatment
Through our work together you will be able to identify the problems and issues affecting your life, and learn alternative coping mechanisms and life skills that will help you on your way to healing. Modern medications can also be very helpful.
Nationally Recognized Psychiatrist
I am licensed by the State of Nevada as a physician specializing in psychiatry and am nationally recognized for my work. I have been in Las Vegas for more than 12 years and have worked with patients with a range of conditions, including depression, bipolar disorder, panic disorder, severe stress reactions, schizophrenia, delusional disorders and codependency issues.
I encourage all my patients to ask many questions during their treatment so they can benefit from my knowledge and expertise. I treat all my patients with confidence and compassion, and am grateful when others take notice.
Special distinctions show my commitment to and leadership in my field. I am a nationally recognized psychiatrist and was awarded the Exemplary Psychiatrist of the Year Award (presented by the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, the largest psychiatric advocacy group in the United States).

I AGREE WITH THE PREVIOUS POST by CONCERNED MOTHER - 06/10/2009My son has Bipolar Disorder. Dr. Zedek prescribed him some medication. We kept telling the doctor that it was not working and my son needed something else. Dr. Zedek kept on telling us there was nothing else out there. I did a lot of research. The doctor only saw my son for 5-10 minutes per visit. After a year and a half and seeing my son struggle, we found someone else. My sonn is taking an additional medication and is doing very well.
WORST THERAPIST/DOCTOR EVERRRRR!!!!! DONT GO!!!!!!!! by sunshininvegas - 05/07/2009His office is in an old beat up HOUSE. He schedules 2-3 appointments for the SAME TIME! So you will be waiting for awhile, and hearing others get angry and complain as well. He does NOT care what you are there for or what you have to say, doesn't even allow you to speak, explain, ask questions. He makes pre judgments on whats wrong with you before even trying to find out, and if you disagree and try to explain how you feel he will tell you to go see another doctor. Everything he writes on here about himself is a TOTAL LIE!!!! He only takes about 5-10 minutes with each patient, how do you get proper therapy in that time?!!! He will just walk off and leave when you try to talk to him and say your session is done, and to go see another doctor because he doesnt like you!!! how does this benefit or help people?! He is an old foreign guy who probably doesnt have any compassion, empathy, or life experience in any of these diseases... but was able to attend school and pass a test. He should no
