I was in an on duty vehicle accident just 3 weeks shy of 8 years ago. Due to injuries sustained at the time of the accident I had to take a medical retirement. I had cervical spine surgery along with numerous other medical issues. My employer did not pay over $100,000 in medical bills and argued the injuries were not related to the accident.
