Dr Tancher is great, but Dr LaCroix is only out for the money

make SURE that you never get Dr. Lacroix - she only wants to run tests, xrays, ultra sounds and pile up the bill. She has no empathy for what the owners and animals are feeling.
Professional and Compassionate

Old, new, or otherwise, my pets and myself have never been treated with less than the utmost concern and respect from the doctors and staff. When I made the heartbreaking decision to euthanize my beloved Buzzy I felt I was fully informed prior to making the choice. The staff was calm and empathetic during a very dark hour for me. When I am again a pet owner I will continue to use all services at RMSPH with confidence.
Excellent service and great doctors

I recently took my dog to Rocky Mountain Small Animal Hospital when he was not feeling well. Doctor Tancher and his staff took excellent care of my dog. He was quickly diagnosed with a large tumor in his belly that was bleeding. The staff at Rocky Mountain took excellent care of my dog through the diagnosis, surgery and recovery. He is doing excellent and I would highly recommend this hospital and its staff. You guys are the best.
Be careful with this vet

We too have been taking our pets to RMSAH for many years, but no longer. Over the last 3-4 yrs their service and the quality of care has declined. Our cat died there last September and she was only 2 yrs old. I don't think they could have saved her, but they didn't even properly diagnose her, never returned phone calls, sent our cat home repeatedly with us when she was too ill and we ended up taking her every night to the ER, where she died. The front desk is awful and the vet turnover is constant. The only competent vets are Tancher and Bean and they are generally unavailable and overwhelmed. You won't know how bad they are until you have a serious problem, then it will be too late.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THEM!

I take my two dogs and my cat to RMSAH. Being new in the area, I tried out 4 different vets that I was unhappy with, but my experiences with this office have all been very professional, helpful, and timely. They called to check on my cat after her dental, and they always treat my animals with loving care. The nurses are fantastic, and obviously truely care about my pets. I have seen 4 different vets here, and all of them have been friendly and very helpful.

My dogs get great treatment and grooming at this facility. I am very picky about where I go.
My pet was injured during surgery

I took my dog in with an infected tooth on June 14th, 2010. Dr. Clark extracted the tooth and when the anesthesia wore off her eye would not open all the way. This eye was on the opposite side of her tooth extraction. It was after hours and the after hour clinic they refer you to is independent of this clinic and charges separtely. I did not want to pay more as I had already paid hundreds of dollars for the tooth extraction. I took her back to their office the next morning and they said her cornea had gotten scratched. She was fine when I took her in so it had to have happened on the table or in the clinic. To make a long story short, I took her to another vet because I noticed she was not blinking. She does not have a scratched cornea but does have nerve damage around her nose, eye, and ears. They think she will recover but how long they don't know. I would not recommend you trust your pet to this establishment.

When I first took my "rescue" English Spaniel in for shots and check up I was very impressed. She has been back for a Urinary track infection and was well cared for by Dr. Clark, however there were still some problems; another Urine sample was taken Wed. 2/17/09 with a promise I would get the results that evening. After not hearing from them, I called the Office on Fri. and was told the results were normal, but they needed a 24 hour liquid intake sample and to call the results in on Monday. I did that and still haven't heard back from Dr. Clark (as of Thursday). I am in the process of finding another vet at this time.
