Options for Long Term Care (OLTC)is El Paso and Teller Counties case management agency, serving older adults and other individuals with disabilities. Options for Long Term Care is a non-profit agency specializing in the personal coordination of long-term care services in community settings.OLTC helps individuals navigate the financial eligibility application process and provides the functional assessment for all of the Medicaid long-term care programs we administer in El Paso and Teller Counties. OLTC will assist approved individuals with coordinating with the long-term care service network to obtain assistance with daily living activities, such as eating, bathing, dressing, and homemaking tasks. Services can be arranged in someone’s own home, an assisted living facility or in a nursing facility. Medicaid is the primary pay source for services available through OLTC. Individuals who are Medicare recipients but meet the level of care screen may become Medicaid eligible.OLTC helps Medicaid-qualified individual’s access services that range from Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) to supportive care. Individuals who are Medicare recipients but meet the level of care screen may become Medicaid eligible.
The resource lists will also help any individual seeking services know what is available in the community once the individual becomes Medicaid eligible for one of the long-term care community based waivers.
Medicaid/applying for Medicaid
OLTC helps Medicaid-qualified individuals access services. For individuals in El Paso County who are not qualified for Medicaid, but who are interested in applying for long-term care services, OLTC has made the financial eligibility process easier by housing El Paso County Department of Human Services financial eligibility technicians at our main office, located at 2812 E. Bijou Street. By co-locating County financial eligibility with the OLTC case managers we are providing a streamlined, single point of entry for clients.
