I went in to look for more comfortable shoes. Salesman suggested that I might be better off with a shoe insert pad that they "custom make" for my shoe. I thought that this might be a less expensive alternative so I said to go ahead and do it. He said he could make them while I waited. When I saw the inserts they were cut out of a flat piece of high density blue foam similar to what is used for sleeping cushions for camping. I was charged $50 plus tax for the pair. What could I say? I did tell him to fit them but I expected something special for that amount of money. No wonder he wanted to do this instead of selling a pair of shoes. I'm convinced that there is a lot more profit to be made cutting out a shoe insert from a sheet of foam. Since I live a long way from Spokane I couldn't return them if I wanted to. I'll be a much more careful shopper in this store if I have occasion to return.
