One of the great coffee houses by Darkpoole - 10/14/2007
The Rimsky-Korsakoffee House is a Portland institution, in place well over twenty years. It's a great place to go for coffee and desserts, where you can sit with friends and experience live classical music by local musicians. (Be sure to leave them a tip.) The service is okay, and they are frequently out of one thing or another. But the atmosphere is wonderful, and the place is bursting with whimsy. Check out the upstairs bathroom just to see it, and don't be surprised to find, after you've been sitting there a while, that your table has moved on you without you noticing.
