Twenty nine years ago on July 7th, 1976, Ginger Luke purchased the Kowloon Chinese Restaurant in the Greenwood district. She revamped, remodeled, and renamed it the “Rickshaw” and with that developed the restaurant and lounge into one of the most popular neighborhood establishments in NW Seattle.

Now she is at it again, putting in one of the best karaoke systems in town and attracting singers from all over the region. Rickshaw now offers Karaoke 7 days a week from 9 pm to 2 am and was just voted as one of the "VERY BEST KARAOKE" place in town by Seattle Times readers for this year!

Luke’s Mandarin/Thai Chef has added several special dishes such as Hot Garlic Prawns, Mongolian Beef and Satay Chicken and Spicy Noodle Soup plus added a whole new Thai Cruise menu.

The Rickshaw also presents breakfasts Mon-Fri 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and weekends 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. with choices of 31 different omelets, Eggs Benedict and more, or customers can choose from a 12 item Chinese combination lunch menu or select from a variety of American sandwiches and burgers.

In the lounge happy hour drinks begin early at 8 a.m. running everyday until 6 p.m. and offers a number of ongoing bar parties for special occasions and special events.
