Tried to Over Charge by Paul - 08/19/2009
Tried to overcharge for the service. Over the phone they were not clear for the cost of the service, they wanted to charge for the trip service fee of $55. When technician came over, he gave quote of $180 for half an over job. I called other places prior to this one thier average quote over the phone was $79 to $120 maximum to do the job. Only reason I called them was their trip charge was lower. Technician also scared me when he said it might be more then $180 if he had to change out the water pump (200-500).He said, he has done for three or four other customers same job and he had to change out the pump.Luckily I paid him $55 trip charge and kicked him out of my house. It took me less than an hour to clean out the water pump and I did it for free....BE BEWARE OF REPAIR SCAMS.

They refused to give a price for the part over the telephone. They want to charge a service fee to come out and then give you the parts price. Poor business policy on their part. Technician had very poor attitude on telephone. I took my business elsewhere.

Our AC wasn't working and so we called Rhoads Cooling. They came over within a few hours and had us taken care of. It was so nice to go to bed that night and have a cool home!! The technician had the part in his truck, so it was a quick repair.

Ice Dispenser not working by BLD - 03/28/2008
Mike was tremendous. Brought out a circuit board and felt that was the problem and found out it was something different. Stayed with it each day until it was completed. Very personable and excellent to deal with. We will always recommend him to our friends.

Mike at Rhoads and his staff were great. Reliable and honest - even on a weekend call. My problem is resolved and I feel comfortable with what I paid for the service I received.
