Only wants your money could care less about your child by
Former Dancer & mom -
First of all the class length from Aug until June is too long. If you register your child late (only by a week) you miss critical information regarding the entire dance year. The dancer/parent is never aware they missed this info until its too late. For example, recital info in regards to costs. It was made clear by the staff that if you wish to participate in the June recital you are required to pay the costume fee in November. I found it interesting that many kids (about 4) were able to join our class in January and still given the opportunity to participate in the June recital. Costumes were given to them as well. I was also surprised by all the hidden fees. Recital fee and you MUST pay for your own tickets. You get one free. Even if your child participates in two dance classes you still will be required to pay for each ticket and each show. Regardless if the shows are back to back and you do not get up from your seat. If you want a video the cost will be determined on how long your child's performance is in regards to minutes. When you call or speak to the staff they give you incorrect prices and information. Only to find out the correct info through an email. At that point your payment or whatever fee they are trying to justify will already been taken out of your account. After 9 months of class the kids are struggling with the recital routine. If you miss a class you are given an opportunity to make it up. However, the kids that would come to make up their class during our class time made it hard for us to practice our rectal routine. Causes more delay and practice. The last week of class the teacher was adding new routines for the recital. Very disappointed. When I called to express my concerns I felt excuses where given and not honest answers. Throughout the conversation I was interrupted and not given respect for my concerns. There were too many kids in one class and some were overlooked and had improper dance form. My child has been dancing (at other locations) since she was 2 (she is now 6). It was heart breaking to hear her say I no longer want to dance. I do not recommend Rhapsody at all. I share my expressions only to help other young dancers who love dancing. This place took the love of dancing from my child.
Excellent Studio by
Wonderful instructors that instill a desire to dance. Learning coexists with fun and a yearning to improve skills. My daughter loves being there dancing with her team. She has excelled, and has exceeded her and our expectations.
Amazing studio. They really understand what needs to be offered for each age level. Dancers compete at an outstanding level in dance competitions every year. Very professional instructors and staff.
A Studio that Cares by
Mom of 2 -
We have been with Rhapsody for nearly a year now. We began with one daughter in a summer recreational class and the other daughter in the summer team intensives which continued into a very fun and busy year with both girls dancing. I have nothing but good things to say about this studio. We have gone to three different dance studios and I have never seen as much passion and commitment to providing the best dance education and experience possible as what this studio offers. They listen to parents and students and truly care about doing their best to do right by us all. The studio is not run like a cold business, it is a nurturing school. The teachers are amazing and teach to your childs age and ability while making sure to keep it fun for the kids so they love coming to dance. I have watched my two girls grow so much this past year and look forward to many more years with Rhapsody.
Bad experience by
My experience at Rhapsody was that the people are very nice, but not very professional. My daughter took a month class through a coupon we had. She enjoyed it but the class was more about having fun than improving her dance skills. When I asked about this, they encouraged us to bring her to a "company" class to see if it was a better fit. We had Rhapsody's owner discuss this and encourage us to do this a couple of times so we arranged a date with her for my daughter to be a guest in the class. My daughter was extremely excited until we received a phone call from the owner the day before the tryout saying she didn't realize that uniforms for company had been ordered and my child could not do it. When I stated that this could have been done more professionally the owner got upset and said not everyone could do company. I understand that, but don't repeatedly invite a child to a "tryout" and at the last minute say never mind. Not a great experience for us.
Excellent studio for newbies through longtime competitors by
Whether you have a kid who is just starting out and looking to learn dance; or if you've got a child wanting to compete at a national level... Rhapsody has a place for you. The minute you walk in you know you and your child MATTER. The owners are dedicated to the safety, training and happiness of the dancers.. making each little one feel special. If you're interested in competition teams; the team director/part-owner has coached and choreographed national championship dances - and has been regularly recognized by top competitions for choreography awards.

It is no secret that everyday of the week is our favorite day at RPAC. Whether you have an experienced dancer or are just introducing your little one to dance, I can't think of a more inspirational environment. Like No Other Dance Studio.... by
We have been nothing but ecstatic since we joined the Rhapsody Performing Arts Center family in the summer of 2011!! It is like no other dance studio that we've been to! The caring and creative staff make my kids feel special and inspire them to work hard to become the best dancers they can be!
Four thumbs up (two for me and two for my daughter) by
Don't walk - Run to Rhapsody! The studio is brand new, spacious, and top of the line. There are 5 studios, each with floating sprung floors for dancer safety. Two of the rooms feature additional padding for protection and the acro room has a professional spring floor. The staff offers a welcoming, comfortable, & fun environment. The teachers are 1st rate. My child has danced with 4 of them for several years and we would follow them to the end of the earth. They are tops in their field and proven winners on the regional & national level. They show a genuine respect for each childs' strengths & individuality. My child wants to dance professionally and I know she will receive the technique, support, and encouragement from this staff at RPAC. Catering to children at every skill level, RPAC adapts their curriculum to help students achieve their goals. My daughter danced at another studio prior to RPAC, and never before have we felt such comfort, acceptance and quite simply...trust.
