Good job at a fair price by JDuncan - 11/02/2009I use Republic for my Jeep and have never had a problem. I'm not a mechanic by trade, but I know more than a little about my vehicles. Everything I've been told by Mike has rung true and I've never had an issue with anything I've had done there. The price I'm quoted is what I pay. They don't try to up-sell me or recommend services that aren't necessary. The work is done right the first time and I don't discover problems that didn't exist before I brought the vehicle in for service. Now if I could just get my BMW and Benz shop to start operating more like Republic, I'd be happy.
Stole my Jeep by Scott - 07/13/2009Owner (Mike) made a copy of my key while in possession of my Jeep. I called to complain about the quality of work and one week later I received a fake receipt for $380 and a lien notice via certified mail. About two weeks after the letter, I walked out of my office and noticed my Jeep was gone. Called the police and they informed me that Republic 4x4 had "all the paperwork in place to repossess my vehicle and that the alleged fraud is a civil matter." I went to RP 4x4 with two police officers, paid $1000 cash for the fraudulent charge plus administrative fee and was handed a key that I had never seen before. I'm not the first person Mike has done this to... go see for yourself at the Sheridan County records office. Don't let this happen to you!
Rip Off by Johnny - 06/04/2009BEWARE! Republic 4x4 Jeep Park is a rip off. They get a zero rating from me. They should be stut down. The work performed is substandard and they have a limited knowledge of Jeep vehicles.
Don't Use this business!!! by Mark - 05/20/2009I just talked to the most rude person I've come across in quite a while. When I asked if there was a cheaper way to get a $180 part rather than buy an entire streering column for $800, I was told "oh geez, lose this number, I'm busy."Really nice service.
DO NOT USE THEM by garapueto - 05/18/2009Do your research. Many people have had trouble with them. Just search the internet to see their bad reputation.They doubled the price on me as a complete surprise when I went to pick up my Jeep. I had to call the police to have them release my vehicle. The police said they get called over there at least every two weeks because the owner has doubled or even tripled the price on them too and that there is nothing they can do. The owner is a lawyer and he knows how to play the system to screw his customers. He will then demand that you pay in cash and charge a storage fee if you don't pick it up buy the end of the day. If you leave it there long enough he will file a mechanics lien on it. I was able to pay it, but this is what the cops have told me he does.This place is crooked and should be avoided at all costs.
Great 4X4 Jeep guys by BIGMO - 04/04/2009I had a question about my YJ and these guys were a GREAT help! The owner is not only VERY knowlegeable but VERY personable! Not like the arrogant dwebs you find at MOST 4X4 shops. Especially when it comes to Jeeps! Not only did Mike answer my questions but also gave me pointers on do's ad don't's. If you or anyone you know has ANY question(s) reguarding Jeeps, DON'T LOOK ANY FURTHER! You CAN'T
