Called Ray a few weeks back. My Napolian fireplace had never worked right since we installed. Constant runaround from the company. Whole problem was a result of poor installation instructions. I was ready to yank it out. Ray told me what to do over the phone at no cost. Required a $65 part that I was able to install myself in about a minute. We're enjoying the heat this winter!!

Ray called back same day to offer his help. It turned out to be a simple solution that he helped me over the phone to start my fireplace. He was very helpful and patient. He provided step-by-step instructions.

I could not get my fireplace to light. Ray talked me through it, waited on the phone with me until I got it lighted. This saved me a service call.

Ray was very helpful in giving me an idea of both worst and best case scenario and explaining his fee structure. It was clear to me from the phone call that he was very competent. My father-in-law does similar work in another town and Ray clearly knew his business well. I was able to get a next day appointment which was unexpected. Ray arrived promptly and was courteous enough to ask if he could walk around the outside so he wouldn't bring dirt into my house. He looked at the grill and was able to quickly assess the problem quickly and give me a few options for repair. He ran into a few unexpected surprises (old stuck parts) and he knew how to get the correct parts quickly and cost effectively. The overall job certainly was far more comprehensive than when I first started (ended up converting to natural gas), but Ray did an excellent job and even cleaned the grill for us. I double checked his rates with my father-in-law (the gas inspector) and he said the rates were very fair!
Great House...Not so Great Fireplace

Two "professional" inspectors told us the fireplace in our recently purchased home would be a nice decoration, but would never be a working fireplace. Called Ray and explained our problem. He could have come and inspected it and charged us for a service call, but he said he was familiar with our fireplace and suggested we send him detailed photos instead. We sent the requested photos, and he said it was not an quick, easy fix, but he could make it work like new. In a few days he had the parts needed, arrived promptly and proceeded to turn a "nice decoration" into a beautiful working fireplace. The repairs were less than half the cost of replacement, and he stuck to his estimate. Ray is not only a very well versed repairman, he is professional yet personable. Ray arrived when he said he would and did what he said he would do. Very refreshing in today's world. Thank Ray.

Could not figure out how to re light our gas fireplace after turning our main gas line off! Ray took us through it step by step on the phone! Saved us a service charge! If only all companies were this much help!

Ray brought a used fireplace back to life... and then a few weeks later I could not get it to light (beyond lighting the pilot). I called him and he returned my call quickly, walked me through the process and immediately identified what I had done wrong. He could have made a house call and charged me $120.00!He is honest, professional, knowledgeable and prices are fair. Call him and hope he is not to busy to help you out!! He's awesome!

Gas Fireplace repair

Ray is extremely knowledgeable and very customer friendly. I had an issue with my gas fireplace and had been trouble shooting it for a month. Spoke to Ray on the phone and explained what the sequence of events were. He properly diagnosed the problem and saved me about $700 in the process. Ray is tops in his field, very busy but takes the time to get back to his customers. I would refer anyone to Ray for his excellent customer service. Thanks Ray!SincerelyScott Clark
