I have taken my pets their for years and all of the doctors are excellent. Ralston Vet cares and often succeeds in giving me the best advice for my "kids" medical needs. Kassie had her teeth cleaned, vaccinations and exam. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I have been coming to Ralston vet for 7 years. I have seen just about every Dr and never had a problem. I had to put down my Lily about a year and half ago because she had terminal cancer. I truly believe that I had for longer then I should have because of Dr. Kaliff.

1 Disappointing Care by unhappy - 06/14/2013

I have to agree with some of the other people here. The front desk is never overly friendly and some of them are outright rude. And it IS all about the money. And, they take in so many animals in a day that they rush through their diagnosis. I've had several issues too where they missed what they should have seen while testing for things unrelated to our complaint! I'm only still going there because I haven't found the right doctor yet. As soon as I do, we're gone.

Ralston Vet is also committed to the quality experience with the professional team. In response to your comments, we have started 20 minute appointments for wellness and 40 minutes for medical issues. Is this enough time for the professional staff? Maybe yes, maybe no. As every pet is different, medicine is unique for every issue. We are committed and continue to strive in providing superior pet healthcare and caring attention to every family member; every time.

2 front desk staff by Christa - 03/15/2013

We took our dog in to get his shots updated today being well aware of how busy it would be due to it being the last day to license our dog. We got there the ten minutes early like they asked. Yet some how three other people arrived after us and went in before us. Our dog has a lot of people excitement and was doing a lot of crying. My husband and I were doing our best to control that being as he is 110lbs. After about 15 minutes of waiting and getting a little antsy I notice not one, but two of the receptionist looking right at us with not so friendly looks on either of their faces. Then one of them asked what we were waiting for after my husband had checked us in already 15 minutes prior. With an already frustrating crying dog it was very unsettling getting negative looks from a staff who should be seasoned in excited animals. I would hope of all places they would be understanding of animal anxiety especially when there with 5 other dogs plus cats around. The vet tech was very friendly as was our vet. However I was very disheartened by the front desk. These are the faces of the business and the dirty looks should be saved for their own time. Not paying loyal customers in an already frustrating situation.

5 Worth the drive to see the best by tabbypip - 05/04/2012

I would never take my boys anywhere else. They have been caring for my oldest cat since I adopted him in 1997. They were recommended by a friend I worked with at the time. I knew that if she trusted them with her furry kids they had to be the best. I was right. I drive from Millard. My dad now takes his cat there from the Oakview area and my sister takes her dog there from Elkorn. They tried the place because I recommended it, but they were won over by the great vets and awesome staff. I trust them completely.

1 Three Strikes, You're Out! by Glutten for Punishment - 01/30/2012

Went there for 12 years. Used to be great, but inow it's about the money, not animals care. It took 3 seperate issues before I dropped them. First, they were trying to give my puppy shots, and the tech was strong arming the dog to the point where he was freaking out. She couldn't figure out the less she did, the more the dog was comforable, and the more she put her weight into it the more he was fussing. I asked to let me help and she freaked out on me. The doctor agreed and backed me later. Second, I took a puppy in for a broken leg. After removing the cast they wrapped the leg. They told me I could remove the wrap after a certain amount of time. When I took the wrap off there was a 4 inch verticle gash down his leg that was perfectly straight and down to the bone. Ralston Vet took no responsiblity. Lastly, I had an emergency and called to get him in asap. They were more concerned with the walk in fee than the dog's health. It's all about the money, not animal health.

5 Above and beyond by Shaker - 07/18/2010

No matter what part of town we have lived in, we have continued to return to Ralston Vet Clinic because they are the absolute BEST. I have taken my cat to see Dr. Kluch and he is so great both with her and with us to explain things and talk about all our options. The front desk staff are always really helpful as well and we wouldn't go anywhere else. Anyone looking for a first-time or new vet should definitely check them out.


We have been users of Ralston Veterinary Clinic for 28+ years and cannot say enough good about them. We have used them for cats, dogs, and horses. The large animal vet, Dr. Jernigan, and our small animal vet, Dr. Erickson, are very dedicated, caring, and talented veterinaries. Dr. Jernigan is also excellent with small animals. Dr. Erickson is a small animal veterinary, and there is no one on earth who is more compassionate. WeI would not hesitate to see them as our personal doctors, so thoroughly trust them with our animal family! We have seen other vets when Dr. Erickson or Dr. Jernigan were not availble, and they are very caring and knowledgeable too. If you want a veterinary who genuinely cares, is knowledgeable, loves their patients, and are reasonably priced, you want to go to Ralston Veterinary Clinic. Beyond EXCELLENT!!!!!
