Building Inspector's Report

When inspecting the new AC system installed by Quality Control, the inspector stated that this was the way an installation should be done....and that unfortunately he did not see many installations completed as well as ours.Every one who worked with us was competent, service was timely and the price was fair when compared with other bids.

Use scare Tactics

The guy came to do the advertised $29.95 maintenance, asper their ad. Did nothing, as soon as he removed the air handler cover he went into his "alarmist mode", citing a litany of things wrong....old, leaking system, mold, moisture/air infiltration, eroded coils/cooler fins, etc..."don't know how much longer this will run!"..then proceed to give me a highly inflated price compared to 3 others who gave me replacement estimates, and said the system worked fine, but as it was 10 yrs. old, and probably was losing some efficiency...looked them up on the internet and they had used the EXACT SAME TACTIC ON ANOTHER VICTIM...USING ALMOST THE EXACT SAME WORDS! Never sign up with anybody before doing research and getting at least 3 estimates....

Office staff crabby and rude

I called to find out about estimate cost. I was very clear in the description of our needs. The person (a woman) answered the phone, and was so unfriendly and rude that I ended up just telling her to forget it. How does anyone do business with that kind of staff answering the phone. There's just no need of being rude. It accomplishes nothing except NO BUSINESS.

Relied on their expertise to provide for my specific a/c needs. What I got instead was a well orchestrated performance to make me buy a new unit of their own choice. Three trucks and several men in a chaotic situation with one of them continually on his telephone to the office getting me repeated "price reductions" and a "better unit". I now have an a/c unit that is a behemoth with huge ductwork on my little home. I was rushed to buy, with no description or explanation in clear terms as to what it would look like. I have spent over $5,000 on this and feel completely "used". Had I been given an explanation of what the unit would look like I would have made other choices. Do not do business with these "smooth talkers"--it's a well-rehearsed scheme to get your money.

this company is awful

I called them because I got flyer in my mail box ,service just $29.95, I hv no problem actually, just leaking from pipe and I fix by myself with just glue it. and the quality control guy came and he said he need to clean it and rip everything I glue, and its leak again. and make another appointment to fix that . He said he need to change that pipe but when another guy came one week later , he just clean it and he said he fixed it for another $100. oh, when the first guy came, he made me a contrac for two year for $125. he said he will come one time in a year. I think I will cancel the contrac, I don't want they came and make money again in my house.

I called quality control air to because I had a coupon for a $30.00 check on my air conditioner. The tech took one look at my unit and said he wasnt even gonna open it that it needed a complete rebuild and cleaning. I dont own the home so he was talking to my landlord. He was very rude to him called him something other than his name, quoted him some ungodly amount like $3,000.00 !! My Landlord said he wanted to get a second opinion. The tech was very arrogant and rude to him. Again told him to go ahead and get his second opinion and that we were not going to find anyone better. I wasn't impressed. Oh by the way, the second opinion found that the unit needed to be cleaned and that the damage was oh about $80.00 worth!!! I can't believe without the guy even inspecting the unit that he would quote that much money!!!

I really was so very nervous to find an honest ac repair company when I moved to Florida. I had to go with my ac for 2 days then i made a call to Quality and they were able to service my unit and have it up and running quickly. The price was fair and I was relieved. I will refer you to my friends and family.

I was having issues with my air conditioner and when I received a flyer for $29.95 to check out my system, I couldn’t pass it up. The technician that came to my home was professional and very honest with me. He took his time, checking my unit thoroughly. When he was finished, he sat down and explained everything to me, in detail. I am proud to say that I did purchase a new unit from Quality Control Air and I will definitely recommend them to my family and friends. It's refreshing to know that there is someone you can count on!!

Don't be taken in

I received a flyer for a $29.95 service special from Quality Control Air, Inc of Port Charlotte. Ray came to the house. He told me that I had mold in the unit that was very bad and if I didn't fix it, I could be dead in a matter of weeks or months. The units weren't that old and there had been no indication of any problem when someone else had serviced the units the previous year. However, to be safe I had them put in new units in July 2010. They told me I would get Carrier units but they installed Day & Night units instead (lower end model). They came back in December to service the units they had installed in July. Maintenance was supposed to be free for 4 years but they tried to charge me for the maintenance call. When Ray looked at the units, he said the ducts were kinked and that I would lose the unit if I didn't have the ducts fixed immediately. He put a lot of pressure on me to sign up for more services before the end of the year. Don't trust them.

Customers Service second to None

I had Quality control out to one of my investment property's to fix to replace a air conditioning unit and all I can say is they we punctual and very polite.
