Visit this store in Iowa. Was trying to sell bulk silver. Offer was very poor. Went to other store and received a fair offer BASED ON THE PRICE OF SILVER.
He keeps spending to look good

This individual is paying money to outside firms in an attempt to restore the negative opinion that the community has justifiably realized. He is obnoxious, hateful and abusive. He offers far less than any other local coin shop will offer for your goods. He is spending money like crazy on advertising in an attempt to convince the public that this is a decent company. What is his Better Business Bureau affiliation? He is not a member! Guess why! He picks and chooses which customers he decides to abuse! He wants nothing to do with being an honest shopkeeper.

I almost did not go to Quad City Coins after reading some of the negative on-line comments listed below! Some were so over-the-top that I could not help but wonder if the competition might not e doing a little on-line trashing, because, come to find out---Quad City Coins does pay people significantly MORE than the other gold buyers! In fact, curiosity got the better of me and I decided to take a look at this supposed spectral myself. Upon arrival, a very pleasant clerk SAT ME DOWN in comfortable cushy chairs, right across from him at a wide polished granite desktop. (No disappearing behind a curtain into a back room with your grandma's jewelry.) He assayed and weighed everything right in front of me--explaining as he went. Several times, the OWNER added his expertise. Both were entirely polite, professional and helpful. No sigh of any bully owner when I was there. (Haven't been treated so well since I went to Europe and had to sit at the white marble counter in a porcelain buying "parlor," while the clerks paraded the merchandise past!) QC Coin maintains an exceptionally attractive and personalized store. But, best of all---they offered me almost $50 (50%) more than the local high end Jewelry Store/Gold Buyers which I previously went to! It pays to shop around and not take the first offer----or believe everything you read on an anonymous internet!I'm A Fully Satisfied Customer
I got more than melt

Several weeks ago I took in several gold eagle coins I inherited. The owner told the spot price anf then offered me more the metal price for each coin. Every where else I had been offered me less then the price of gold. I won't go anywhere else with the ones I have left!
Wow!! great payout

My wife & I took in a bunch of her broken jewelry and watches. Boy were we suprised by the offer. It was about 20% more than the jewelry store we bought them at and double what one of those cash for gold stores offered. We''re looking for more broken junk in my wifes jewelry box and going back next week with more.
Doesn't even deserve 1 star!

Every bad thing written about this business thus far I agree with totally and worse. He told me to take my things some place else; shame on me for wasting his time; he said I couldn't have my own way (make myself a list and price he was paying me) so I didn't like it; it was his shop and he made the rules; he didn't like my attitude; didn't like the expression on my face; insult after insult. It was the worst experience I have ever had with a business. 9/29/11
If he offers you A penny for a pound of gold take it or He will let you have it....
