Protec is a Nebraska-based corporation, with our corporate office located in Omaha, Nebraska. The company was founded in May of 1992 after intensive review of the legal, logistical and procedural considerations raised in the staffing screening process.

Our company began service in response to a market need for comprehensive employment screening. Protec currently searches applicant information nationwide for clients in a variety of industries and obtains public record information for use in the hiring process.

Protec uses a variety of methods to obtain public records information from over 3,500 repositories across the USA. Our search process retrieves the most current information available. Record results are obtained through both on-line access sources directly to state and county agencies, as well as physical records searches within public repositories across the country.
