Lets get the facts straight, When you and your son came into the store on 12/30/09. You told us that you had taken your 1991 Chevrolet/S10 pickup 4x4 in to another shop for a safety and emissions test. It failed safety inspection for: Idler Arm. You and your son told us that you want this truck to be safe for you to drive, being that was your only transportation. While replacing the idler arm we found both the lower ball joints were very warn and should have failed the original safety inspection. ( the other shop failed to inform you of this safety problem). Also found right front c.v. axle was damaged do to lack of lubrication. Do to the c.v. boots being open. Replacing the axle at the same time as the ball joints, saved you $105.00 in labor cost. Regarding your emissions test. You emissions failed for high CO‘s and HC‘s. They told you it needed a tune-up. Your check engine light was also on. After the engine diagnostics we found that you needed an 02 sensor as it was not working and created a very rich condition. And a maintenance tune-up. ( which includes new spark plugs installed, checking your secondary ignition ie distributor cap, rotor, plug wires ) and found them in good condition. Also checked fuel delivery and timing. When completed all repairs the engine was running well below emission standards. You told us not to run the emissions test because you could get the retest done at the other shop for free. When you went back to the other shop and they failed you again on your emissions test, they again told you that you still need a tune-up or one must not have been done or done right. You and your daughter came in and she just started yelling and did not care what was told to her. Because the other shop just told her that it needed a tune-up and they felt that one was not done. When you brought it back to find out why it would not pass emissions, it just needed to be warmed up. Sounds like you should be upset with the other shop fo
