Canine Influenza has hit the Chicago area. It is extremely contagious, spreading by licking, sneezing and coughing. It can lead to severe pneumonia and even death. Fortunately a vaccine is now available. We strongly encourage dogs that are boarding, attending day care, grooming facilities or visiting parks to get this vaccine.
For the remainder of 2009, Portage Park Animal Hospital will vaccinate your dog with the Influenza vaccine for just $10. For full protection a booster is required 2-3 weeks following the initial vaccine for an additional $10.

Emergency care and microchiping are available, and we're open 6 days a week with extended hours for your convenience.
