History of Pooh Corner Founded in 1976, Pooh Corner Learning Center, Inc. offers early childhood education services for infant, toddler and preschool children with 2 conveniently located centers in Norwich, CT. Pooh Corner's Otrobando location is one of the first early childhood programs to earn accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children ( NAEYC ) ' the nation's leading organization of early childhood professionals. This NAEYC Accreditation represents the mark of quality in early childhood education. In the 20 years since NAEYC Accreditation was established, it has become a widely recognized sign of high-quality early childhood education achieved by approximately only * 8 percent * of all preschools and other early childhood programs.
