I had hired Peters Flooring to remove my existing laminate flooring, remove a Masonite board that was nailed down on top of my existing hardwood flooring, and refinish the existing hardwood flooring and lace in new hardwood in closets and kitchen.

I ended up requesting a refund because I was tired of all the failed promises and failed work. I originally gave him $1375 to start the work of which I only got $520 back from him for them just to remove the laminate flooring. Something I could have done myself in just a few hours. He deducted from the $1375, $250 to remove the laminate, $450 for hardwood flooring that is currently sitting in my garage, and the remainder for cost of a dumpster that sat empty in my driveway for two weeks. I do not agree with the dumpster charge, that is a business expense for Kevin and was not a part of my original estimate. I also do not agree with the hardwood he bought and is still sitting in my garage. Kevin promised to buy the hardwood back from me a week later and of course I never heard from him again. I decided to cut my losses and buy laminate and install it myself. I was so fed up with Peters Flooring, I was not going to take the time of finding another contractor or risk losing more money. I would not recommend Peters Flooring unless you want headaches, failed promises, and like losing money.
