Feedback to the services I have received from the Pet Plex Animal Hospital in Buckeye Lake Ohio. I have recently brought my cat in because he is defecating and urinating outside of the litter box and has chronic diarrhea . I have spend over $300 so far to get this problem resolved and still the problem is continuing to happen. I have brought the cat in twice and brought feces in 2 different times. My cat was prescribed medicine and that medicine failed to help my cat in any way. When I brought this problem to their attention, they prescribed the same medicine to my cat again only in a higher dose and changed his food, which of course didnt work. My cat is still having diarrhea and going outside of the litter box and I feel robbed by Pet Plex for over $300. I received a follow up phone call for my cat for the first visit and medications prescribed, but no follow up call to see if he is any better since the last time I was there. In conclusion, I have not had a pleasant experience with this establishment.

Per their request I provided the county animal shelter documentation at the time of my dog's spay. This was so that they could direct bill the shelter for her surgery. I then received a bill for $80 for the spay. Upon contacting the vet, the "office manager" advised me that they have no contract with the shelter and that I needed to pay the bill and attempt to get reimbursement from the shelter. This is not what I was told by their office or by the shelter. In fact, I selected their office from the two options that I was provided by the shelter. After discussing this for 20 minutes and asking her repeatedly if that was the case, then why did they ask for my adoption paperwork and why did they take the spay charge off that day after being provided with the paperwork, she refused to do anything further. I contacted the shelter and was reassured that they did in fact have a contract with the vet and that the vet's office had just called them asking for my adoption paperwork because they had "lost it". When I attempted to call the vet back to make certain that they had the paperwork and would be following up, I was yelled at and hung up on by the "office manager". I attempted to call them back again and once again she picked up the phone, screamed at me that we were done and hung up on me. Completely unprofessional and unorganized.

I would like to share with everyone how great the staff at Petplex was with my dog during her sickness. Lacey was very sick and each and everyone of them gave her special attention and made her feel special and that made me feel so much better but on her last day when she got so bad I had to take her in there and make the hardest decision I have ever made in my life and that was to let her go and I'm telling you they was like family they was so understanding and offered to stay with me as long as I wanted plus some even cried with me. I'm telling you I would never go any where else. They are the best......

I would like to take a moment to say thank you from my wife and I to Dr Doug Poorman for the wonderful emergency care that he provided for our cat Joon on Oct 18, 2011 and the next day Oct 19, 2011. Joon was sick and spitting up blood when I called Petplex on the evening of Oct 18, 2011. Dr Poorman called me right back and met us within 30 minutes from the time I called him. He was very compassionate, professional and sincere in examining and treating Joon. Joon is a special cat to us and is a real part of our family. Even though Dr Poorman is a very well trained and educated DVM, I was still impressed with his analysis of the situation and his logical progression of treatment. He communicated well with me and showed a determined concern to get to the bottom of the problem and consequently Joon is feeling much better now. I know that it is his career to take of animals but I recognized a compassion that I have not always recognized in Veterinarians in the past. Again we wo

I took my 3 poodles and after 7 hours they finally called for me to pick them up. Not only were there face and feet shaved so close that they had some red and tender spots, she had not bothered to clean the hair out of their ears. We were there to pick them up in 15 may mins. But when I asked to speak with her she had already left. I think our puppies had to be hurried because she was rushed. I had made the appoint.a month before. Never again will I take them there and I may not go back to pet plex at all.

iI TOOK MY DOG TO PET PLEX HE WAS A STRAY WE TOOK IN HIS HAIR WAS REALLY BAD AND MATTED AND HIS TOE NAILS WAS SO LONG HE WAS SCARED OF THE CLIPPERS HERE AT HOME SO I WAS RECOMMENDED TO PET PLEX HOSPITAL. AND THEY DID A GREAT JOB ON GROOMING HIM HE LOOKED SO PRETTY NOW AND HE IS THE HAPPIEST DOG IN THE WORLD NOW. THE PEOPLE AT PET PLEX WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND TREATED MY DOG SO WELL I WOULD HAVE TO GIVE PET PLEX A BIG THUMBS UP AND MY DOG WOULD TO.
