Pulaski Electric System, also known as PES, is one of the Tennessee's oldest municipal electric cooperatives. Established in 1891, it serves more than 15,000 customers in the city of Pulaski, as well as the communities of Ardmore, Elkton, Goodspring, Lynnville, Minor Hill and Prospect in Tennessee. The cooperative also maintains over 1,200 miles of electric line throughout Giles County in Tennessee. It offers various programs, such as security light, marathon water heater, Warm Neighbor Fund aid to construction loans, automatic withdrawal and low-growing tree replacement. The Pulaski Electric System is a member of the Tennessee Valley Authority, American Public Power Association, Tennessee Valley Public Power Association, and Tennessee Municipal Electric Power Association. It operates PES Energize, which has a fiber-optic network to provide high-speed data, television and telephone service for residential and commercial clients.

I don't want to be too hard on Pes Energize, personally I love their internet service. It may not be the fastest but it's high speed and cheap and you can get free long distance with it which is great.

However I have had many problems with the phone service. It's not uncommon for there to be strange noises, voice echo, dropped calls, one sided dropped calls where one person can't hear the other but they can hear you. It's very frustrating.

One who's more paranoid, or one who reads the news, might think it's the NSA doing a really crappy job at spying on long distanced calls, but I'm pretty sure it's Pes Energize.

Like I said, I love my internet, and it is cheap, but I wish I had a better phone connection.

The internet/phone service is ...

The internet/phone service is horrible. You do not get what you pay for. The customer service is even worse.

When you call in with a problem it's never their fault. It's always your computer Our family has a new quad core desk top and a new quad core laptop, we knew it wasn't our computers.

We never received the dl/ul speeds that we were paying for. We were paying for 10 mg. When we would call them with a problem they would run a test and say we'll you're getting 5mg, that's really good. We told them not when we're paying for 10 mg.

We finally got tired of all the lag and called Charter. For a few dollars more (literally $15 more total including taxes) we now receive excellent service from Charter. My advice is if you have any other option do not choose PES for your internet/phone service needs.
