Mechanical integrity inspections and reporting:
An effective mechanical integrity (MI) program will aid in determining the potential risks and hazards within the facility, and also assist in prioritizing repairs and maintenance.
There are several federal and state regulations requiring MI programs to ensure the safe operation of process equipment. With an MI program in place, costs can be dramatically reduced by strategically planning when resources and down-time should be scheduled.
PermaCold offers MI inspections, reporting and also the capacity to perform any repairs and maintenance if needed. PermaCold is also very active in the training and documentation process for many clients. A Process Safety Management (PSM) program is an integral part of many refrigeration facilities, increasing more so each year. Much like the MI program, the goal is to keep the facility safe and operating efficiently. It also provides a plan for the facility if a release of hazardous materials occurs (typically ammonia in the refrigeration industry). The program requires comprehensive training and controls to be in place within the plant in an attempt to avoid disastrous situations.
