In 1993, Charley Hexom, an Oregon native and paraplegic since 1970, co-founded Performance Mobility, Inc. with the feeling that anyone who loved to drive should be able to. After an extensive career in the auto body shop business, Charley was no stranger to vehicle modification and was uniquely suited to start a business providing mobility services to those who needed them.

Founded on the idea of universal mobilization ability, Performance Mobility was innovative in creating adaptive equipment for vehicles, airplanes, race cars and farm equipment. Committed to selling the customer what they needed and not what they had in stock, Charley’s unique company became one of the premier adaptive equipment dealers on the west coast.
