I do not like getting root canals but Dr. Penberthy and his staff made it enjoyable. He has a manner about him that keeps you laughing and thinking about something other than the dental procedure. I would HIGHLY recommend him.

I was surprised to see two negative reviews here but I think that's because there is a tendency to complain more than compliment. My experience with Dr Penberthy was excellent in all areas. I was referred to him by my regular dentist for a root canal. The staff was friendly and professional, I waited less than 5 minutes in the modern and spotless waiting area, and Dr Penberthy was friendly, courteous and professional. He explained what my situation was, what his recommendations were and what my options were. He then proceeded to do the work in a completely professional manner, keeping me informed throughout the procedure as to what he was doing. As for the financial part complained about by the two negative reviews, all I can say is there must be more to those stories than are showing up in the review. The costs of the procedure were outlined to me in my first call, including how much they estimated my insurance company would pay and how much would be my share. At the completion of the procedure the staff very courteously went over those numbers again with me and I paid my share. There was no hassle and I certainly appreciated knowing in advance what I could expect to pay. All in all, this is a five-star rating because the Doctor and his staff earned it and I would recommend them without hesitation.

This office is completely unprofessional and rude. The main focus seems to be on your money, and little regard is given to your comfort. Save yourself the trouble, and do not visit this office. You will be treated poorly.

I was highly disappointed in the complete lack of professionalism, profound rudeness and aggression over a simple misunderstanding that could have been easily resolved. I felt like I was overall treated very poorly and wouldn't recommend them to anybody.
