Description

Bruce Peck has been in the private practice of family law since 1975. He graduated from William Mitchell College of Law, December 1974.

He is a founding member of the Collaborative Law Institute, an involvement of his extending over the past decade. He has extensive knowledge of family law matters in Minnesota.

Bruce's professional career is commited to practicing the principles of the Collaborative Law Institute for resolving Family Law issues by negotiation rather than using litigation. This method transforms the traditional practice of law.

What is Collaborative Team Divorce?

A Collaborative Team Divorce is a team of divorce specialists working together with a divorcing couple. The Team helps contain the conflict and assist the family in restructuring from a single-family into a two-family system. This process reduces stress and strives to conserve the entire family's emotional and financial resources.

Why a Team?

When couples go through the divorce process they need all the support they can get. The free flow of information among Team members helps the couple go through the divorce process with the enhanced potential for improved communication, improved parenting skills, and a better understanding of money matters.

A Family-Law Collaborative Lawyer represents each spouse as part of the Team with the understanding that the attorneys will work with the couple for settlement, normally through four-way conferences, and will not engage in adversarial court proceedings. When settlement is accomplished, the collaborative attorneys will process the agreement without court appearances.
