I love shopping at Pawn Depot. I find most of their merchandise to be very reasonably priced. I have bought many things there. Sometimes I've asked for a little off on something, and they've given me a little discount. They certainly didn't have to, but they did, which was nice of them. As someone who used to deal in antiques and collectibles, I understand their frustration with people who think their "junk" is worth a lot more than it is. I used to get that a lot when I sold and dealt in antiques and collectibles. Some stuff is just junk, period. I think Pawn Depot is very fair in their dealings and I will continue to shop there!

Pawn Depot as an FFL dealer to receive firearms for individuals

In the spring of 2013, I used Pawn Depot as an FFL broker to get a gun that I ordered out of State. Bob was the guy I talked to and he sent the FFL information to the gun shop where I was buying the gun in MI within an hour after I made the reqest. The folks at Pawn Depot called me within an hour of receiving the gun so I could pick it up. Their cost of $20 is as reasonable as anyone in the area and combined with the great service, its a 5/5 rating from my experience. Second use of Pawn Depot was Nov 2013 and Bob was again right on the ball faxing the FFL information to the gun dealer where I ordered the gun. I give Pawn Depot a 5/5 rating.

Business practices are misleading

I put on consignment with the woman who owns this business on her word to trust her and that I would get 10% of everything that was consigned. I loaded a 14' van truck with over $3000 worth if not more full of household items, antiques, collectibles, and more. There was no paperwork just her word and a handshake to "trust her" and that she would give me what all my things were worth. I received one check of $160. A couple of months went by with no call returns from her no communication at all. Finally when I got through to her without her knowing who I was she told me that all I was going to get was that $160 and no more. I went into her store one day and saw an item I had given to her for consignment and she had a price tag on it of $1,000 with the word "sold" on it. I found other items of mine throughout the store and even at 10% all of those items added up to way more than that. I got ripped and she knew it. It was my stupidity into believing in "her word" and "trust me". Dont go

Believing upon the owners own words of having to do business with them on the trust and honor policy, my family gave a14 foot long truckload of household items and collectibles, thinking at that time that they were to be put up for consignment and/or be sold on Ebay, as the owner indicated on our first conversation. One month later we received $160 from items sold minus their take of 10% from each item as it sold. We waited another 2 months to let a bit more cash buildup in our account. After several phone calls and no call backs we called again without showing our caller id on the phone and the owner answered immediately. We were told that the $160 was all we were going to get on a truckoad estimated at about $2,000+. We estimated on getting around $300 for the truckload along with the collectibles. In disbelief she said that she changed her mind and decided to buy the whole load at a one time amount without informing us of the change. We were ripped off and nothing we can do.Dont go!!
