The place is energetic and fun. by T Dawg - 08/27/2009The place is energetic and fun. Great location and very friendly people. I usually pay over $100 for cut & color but I paid only $40 and they did a better job than my usual stylist. Check it out you wont be dissapointed.
disappointed by waiting in the lobby - 08/09/2009reception was very friendly but unfortunately I had an awful experience at Paul Mitchell the school in Portland. To sum it up, I did not get the stylist I had made the appt with, instead it was with a very new student that did not even have his tools yet, his instructor was rarely around to observe and assist, I did not recieve the coloring I initially asked for, I spent 5+ hrs there when it was supposed to be 2, I ended up brushing and styling my own hair when it was all over. I expressed my concerns and disappointments with one of the other instructors and they were nice enough to give me a discount. But I will be back in a few days to get it fixed. I know its a school and I expected work by students, but the process by which they run this program is insufficient and disappointing.
Loved it! by Angela - 05/30/2009Went there yesterday and had my hair done by Josh Lane. Had it colored and highlighted and cut. He did an outstanding job. I normally would not go to a beauty school but my friend just had her hair done by Josh also and it looked FAB!! And who could complain about the price? The place was PACKED when I got there which was encouraging considering it was a school. I have been to schools before and it was full of little old ladies! Love this place and they offer everything! Go see Josh!!
DON'T DO IT! by i'll never tell - 06/09/2008This school is terrible! The owner rides on the coat tales of his daddy( John-Paul Dejoria). No consistency, no real learning process, no rules being followed. Don't go to this school for the name.....you will be sorely disappointed.
