SCAM ARTISTS by
ONE STAR because I didn't want you to think I forgot to rate them--otherwise a huge ZERO! My husband and I met with Pat from Pathways Concrete and signed a contract in August. No work has been completed and no one returns our calls/emails. According to the contract, we could cancel for a refund if we sent a letter via certified mail. No one has checked the mail to pick up my letter which I sent return receipt/certified. The deposit was significant and will most likely be an unrecoverable loss. Stay away from this charming man who praises God to demonstrate his goodness.
disappeared with my $5500 by
Hired this company to remove old roof and install new one. Gave them $ 1500 initial deposit then $4000 for supplies. They never return my calls or emails. First hired them in April, now its end of October. Hope everyone sees this and saves their money. I doubt if I will ever see any of my money.
DISAPPEARED WITH OUR $4500 DEPOSIT by
We put a deposit down in the beginning of June to have a patio put in our backyard. The company seemed pretty legit from all the reviews but we were soooo wrong!!! It is now the end of September and not one bit of work has been done on the patio. We will get some stupid email promising that he will be out next week but of course he never shows up or calls us back!! SAVE YOUR MONEY and find someone legit!!! We are in the process of filing a police report and taking him to small claims court but I'm sure we will get nothing from it!!! I'm sure our $4500 went right to his meth!!

This guys nothing be a liar and con by
Don't let this guys Christian babbling fool you. His tats and piercings tell a different story... This con offered to give me a good deal on a patio after my sister helped in out with some troubles he had. I got a "deal" all right! I hired him and gave him a deposit but he still hasn't shown up to do the job. Its always "i'll be there first thing in the morning" which of course never comes. I tried being nice; Told him to just return my money and I'll find someone else to do the job but he won't even answer or return my calls any more. So if you have been scammed by this guy as I have I suggest you call your local police. Naperville police told me that since he took money he can be arrested for larcen but if enough people file complaints he will be arrested for grand larceny which results in jail time. So please, if you have been scammed by Tom please, please, press charges so he goes to jail and he can be the one to get it in the *&s. Now that's what I call pay it forward....

JOEL DEL TORO by
I had a very similar experience with Pathways Concrete, Tom Ratz and Steve Drew. I was hoping you could contact me at email@example.com. Anyone else reading this should STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! This Company has been shut down in prior years, they previously operated under the name EX-TREAM CON-CRETE and EX-CELLENT CON-CRETE. These names were chosen because of his EX-CON status and the way this company does business also reflects that of an CON ARTIST. Anyone who has a complaint about this Company please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!!!! STAY AWAY!!!! by

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!! They do not care about customer service or their quality. I went through the worst experience ever with this company. I hired them last year to take out my old brick patio and install a new stamped concrete patio. Once we signed the contract and gave them a upfront deposit, they did not come out for over 2 months to get the job done. It took multiple calls and multiple emails to finally get them out. I was hoping to have it completed by the time summer hit but no it wasn't until the summer was almost over. Once they finally came out they installed my patio. They still needed to pour fresh soil and seed around the patio and they said they needed the other half of the money for them to go get it and come back. I trusted Tom and needless to say, they never came back to pour dirt. According to the contract, they were supposed to build me a fire pit with my existing bricks (that did not happen) and pour dirt and seed around patio and that did not happen either. It has been a year now and after multiple emails to some Steve Drew guy who I assume is the owner, telling me that they will be out blah blah blah blah, they still have not finished the job. The way the patio is right now, if I do not pour dirt around it and pack it in, the patio will crack with time. I am taking this to the next step with my attorney because I will not let this company get away with this especially since I have received estimates from landscaping companies saying it will cost over a grand to do this when I already paid Pathways for this job. I should have never given them the other half of the money until everything was complete but I made the mistake of trusting them. This is by far the worst company to deal with. They obviously do not care about customer service and their reputation since they did not bother to come back and finish the job. These guys are a complete Joke.
A good listner -
Now now now mr or mrs dontstand4it , you say they did a terrible job, this would lead one to believe the job was completed, did you pay for this terrible work, you said they didn't pull a permit, was it in the contract to pull a permit ,and do you live in a town where permits are mandatory ,because some places don't even require you to pull a permit, and they never laid a base , well since you where aware of this why did you let them keep working without stopping them , after all they where working for you correct, and anyone with any common sense realy knows you could actually pour concrete on top of almost anything , wood even and its not going to fall apart in a week ,its concrete HELLO, so falling apart thats a little far fetched,, now you go on to say you where taken, how do you consider you where taken, seems to me they would have to redo or do it to your satisfaction if you still haven't paid them, and if you didn't pay them ,then your still to the good, and as far as Lisa Madigan, its not against the law or otherwise to have not pulled a permit , or put in mesh and that's the bulk of your complaint with this company, and if the concrete is failing well that's the material supplier not the installers, these are the facts of any concrete company,it also seems to me that the way you are describing things you where present from start to finish, so why didn't you do something such as say stop, or call a city inspector, etc, etc, but you fail to mention any of that yet you seem to want people to believe you where taken, HOW , how where you taken you don't mention in detail that, are you that easy or gullible or with no back bone you couldn't control what was taking place at your own residence, come on now , you set the pace and said what was and what wasn't so you where cognizant yet did nothing but got on the computer and only told one side and im sure there is more to it than that, well at least for people who can read between the lines.
