Established in 1924, The Out-of-Door Academy is an independent, coeducational college preparatory school that serves more than 580 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. The school offers classes in math, science, social studies and language arts. It also hosts sessions in music, physical education, theater arts and computer studies. The Out-of-Door Academy operates a parent association that hosts school events, fundraisers and social activities. The school features a library, computer lab, cafeteria, career center and gymnasium. In addition, it provides a selection of sports activities, such as football, volleyball, soccer, and track and field. The Out-of-Door Academy administers the Thunder Athletic Club and offers membership opportunities in the National Junior Honor Society. The school provides summer, wellness, special education and guidance counseling programs.
