FAQ's
Q is it just for outside use?
a no, we commonly apply this on commercial floors, garage floors, basements, and living areas.
q how does it stand up to snow removal?
a we have one drive that is being cleaned with a farm tractor using a rear blade. We normally recommend a snow blower but our product is on factory floors with fork lift traffic. It's durable.
q how much thickness does it add?
a it normally raises concrete surfaces about 1/8th inch above the original finished surface. On wood surfaces we normally apply a backer board which will add about 1/2 inch overall.
q how long will it last?
a there seems to be no detectable deterioration of the product. We normally apply a sealer over the top and none of the jobs which are seven years old or newer have had an application of sealer since the completion of the job. We are telling customers to expect to reseal every 7-10 years.
q what is it?
a we use a combination of plastic type products mixed with a very pure concrete mixture. The finished products are 30-50% harder than regular concrete.
q is it slippery?
a this process can be applied very smooth or very rough depending upon the intended use.
q will it stand up to chemicals, oil, salt, etc.
a our normal outdoor application will stand up to the regular type of abuse (salt, oil, lawn fertilizer). For indoor applications we have a variety of sealers and one that is even capable to resist battery acid for a prolonged period.
q will it stand the freeze thaw cycle?
a our product has been in the upper midwest since 1988 and in canada for several years without delamination caused by the temperature cycles.
q can your product be successfully applied to stone, brick, steel, wood, cracked concrete, pitted concrete, asphalt or vertical walls?
a yes!
q what does it cost?
a - decorative/non-stenciled - normally about the same cost as tearing out and pouring new concrete.
decorative/stenciled - normally 10-40% more than tearing out and pouring new concrete.
q what colors are available?
a any color on a paint fan chart.
