Description for Omaha Refinishing

The #1 reason you should consider refinishing is the money that you will save. You will save approximately 50% by refinishing when doing kitchen counters or bath vanities. The total cost of replacing a bathtub can be upwards of $2000. The cost of refinishing is normally under $500. If the only thing wrong with your counters or bath fixtures is the color, that can be changed in one short day. Bathtubs that are stained or hard to clean will look virtually new after refinishing. No more scrubbing!

Hard Tops Coating series is a two component acrylic polyurethane system formulated to provide a resilient and attractive gloss finish. The Hard Tops Coating series will adhere to a number of substrates including: porcelain, ceramics, fiberglass, baked enamel, and cultured marble. Rapid cure, resistant to chemicals and abrasion and exceptional gloss retention are notable features of Hard Tops Coating series polyurethane. Hard Tops Coating have exceptional gloss retention. Our coatings are not an epoxy product.

Once cured, each molecule of Hard Tops Coating shares an area with the molecules around it. This is called "crosslinking," and it produces one of the most durable finishes available. As you can see in the illustration below, the molecules are arranged in a specific pattern. The arrangement will not allow any penetration of foreign matter into our coating. This unique aspect of our coating also makes our refinished surfaces very resistant to wear and tear. Our coatings test a full 40% more durable than the coatings used by most other refinishers in the country.

During our application process, in order to insure a maximum bond, we thoroughly prepare the surface to be refinished. Two types of bonds are used in our system. Porcelain requires the use of an adhesion promoter, or bonding agent. The bonding agent will actually force our coating to contract and expand with the porcelain underneath it. This is very important in areas such as stove tops, bathtubs and sinks, where thermal contraction is an everyday occurrence. On all other surfaces such as Formica, fiberglass, baked enamel or cultured marble, the chemicals in our coating actually melt, or "crosslink" the materials together.

When we apply our coating, we apply six coats of our product in three separate applications. The first coat adheres exclusively to the material underneath. The second, third and fourth coats adhere to the material underneath, and to each other. The fifth and sixth coats adhere directly to the coating itself. The end result is our finish, which is second to none.

All Hard Top's Coatings are polymerized acrylic urethanes, and are used exclusively in our processes. These are the newest, and most durable of all coatings used in the refinishing industry.

All of our products are tested in our owner's home for a full year before being used in any of our customer's homes.

Contact Chris with any questions. Thank you.

Reviews of Omaha Refinishing

5 Bathtub Damage Repair by Jim - 09/11/2013

I hired Omaha Refinishing to fix the damage caused by my tile guy dropping two ceramic shelves. The tub was brand new since I had just started remodling the bathroom. I can hardly tell where the damage was now. They did great work.

5 Still looks great 1 year later by Jessica - 04/08/2013

We had our yellow bathtub refinished one year ago to white and it still looks brand new. Omaha refinishing has great customer service and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to update a bathroom on a budget.

5 Awesome Job! by Highland Park - 12/08/2010

We use Omaha Refinishing to refinish all of our bathtubs and showers throughout our apartment complex. Mike offers high quality services at a very reasonable price! I highly recommend them for all of your refinishing needs!

5 New Look by Roonie - 12/07/2010

I wanted new countertops for my kitchen but could not afford it at the time. I had Omaha Refinishing redo my countertops for a new look. I was a little leary about them being too dark so I told them to keep the color on the light side. They turned out great. Its been about 2 years and they still look great but now I want a new look. I am planning on having Omaha Refinishing refinish them again but this time I plan to go even darker. What an inexpensive way to give your kitchen a make over at a lot less cost than new countertops!

5 Nice work by billy rose - 03/25/2010

Omaha refinishing took a 60's style bath with unmatched tile in the shower and on the walls and made it look like a new bathroom. They did a great job.
