You can't make great food with sub-par ingredients by Disappointed Diner - 08/25/2009I've given this restaurant a try twice now. The first time was soon after they opened. My husband and I had panini sandwiches and they were not good at all. One had lettuce on it that had turned yellow (not from being heated - obviously from just being old lettuce). It was all just really bland and the bread turned into mush in my mouth.Today (over a year later) I decided to give it another chance. I ordered an Apple Balsamic salad. Sounded good - mixed greens, apples, bleu cheese, almonds, and grapes - served with a vinaigrette. Well - the vinaigrette tasted like a cheap bottled salad dressing. The cheese totally lacked flavor. I love bleu cheese, but this just tasted like dusty mush. The apples didn't taste much like apples or anything else for that matter. The whole meal was just odd. Seriously, if you are striving for perfection then you handicap yourself by using such poor quality ingredients.
