Upon entering the store, I was asked to put my purse behind the counter. Apparently I look like a criminal? Really, there's no reason to act like I'm going to steal your stuff! I'm an adult and have money, thanks. Very unhappy.

I find that the people there don't really know that much about the pets. They are always pretty nice to me though. Their prices are not that bad either. But go to a real pet store if you have questions about animals. I bought a Parakeet from them. The "bird Expert" said that all I needed was seed, cuddle bone, and grit. I've been reading non stop about Parakeets since I got home and found out that seed are like junk food for birds. That Pellets are better and that they should also be getting fresh fruits and vegetables. Other info she gave me wasn't all that accurate either. But it is a good place to go get animal food and bedding and stuff because it's close by. But I don't go their for advice on animals anymore. My mom wont even buy fish their because they don't know what they are talking about.

I am from the northern area and owned a bait shop for years. Crickets are not counted, it can't be done unless you have 3 days to do it. They are measured by the tube. How many tubes do you want?
Avoid if possible

Absolutely horrible customer service and practices. I bought crickets there and there prices seemed reasonable. Until I got home and found that the 100 crickets I bought was actually 50 and 8 of those were dead. I had to drive back to the store where I was told "we can't count them". Of course now the sign says approximately on it, however, approximately 100 crickets is not 50. I could have handled an apology and here are your crickets. The lady working the counter was in no way trained to handle customers. I recommend that if you have a choice to find a real pet store and pay less for better quality.
